A Little Bit of Everything

Well, we all get busy, our schedules fill up quickly and sometimes life gets a little crazy...so what do you do when all these things happen and you can't quite get in all the sessions you need to? Do them all at one time! We did a little bit of Bella, a little bit of Christmas (not pictured) a little bit of Hunter and a little bit of Kingston during this last session. We still have a few more to get in by the New Year (or close to it) but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I just love this family and am so grateful to continue to capture their memories.

Smith Family Session

Well, I thought that I was only going to get one pretty weekend of fall colors for pictures this year, but turns out, I was lucky enough to get two. Sunday's weather was absolutely gorgeous...about 70 degrees, blue skies with a few white clouds and a nice autumn breeze to set it all off. The Smith's decided on a location by the river, which was so beautiful. I hadn't taken any photos at this location previously, so it was nice to be in a new setting. Of course, trying to keep little boys out of the water, well...that was a challenge in itself! I must say though, they are some of the cutest little boys ever!

 

Quenga/Horton Family Session

I might sound like a broken record, but how in the world do these kids grow up so fast!?!  I remember taking little Savannah's newborn photos (like, yesterday) and now she has a little brother who grew up so fast we didn't even have the time to schedule his newborn session! Oh, how time flies! Which reminds me (and hopefully all of you) to slow down, take in the little moments, and cherish each moment of these little lives. They're only this little once so value every second. I'm glad we were able to get our schedules in sync and get this little family session captured. The fall colors last weekend were so pretty. Here are just a few of my favorites...

 

Wheeler | Family Session

The Wheeler Family is truly one of the sweetest little families I know.  Through their quick wit and silly sarcasm, you can see the very deep love in their eyes that they have for their little girl, their big ole puppy and each other.  You can honestly feel their hearts smile at one another when their eyes lock. I'm looking forward to many many many more sessions with these guys and capturing each and every happy moment. 

 

Bella Turns FIVE!

Can you believe another year has gone by!? Me either! Seems like just the other day I was taking Bella's 6 month old photos....now she's FIVE! This year she wanted a pirate themed party and I must say, it was my favorite so far. Along with the pirate decor, she had a zillion different kinds of dessert, fun jewels, eye patches, pumpkin painting and the Razorbacks game going on the outside screen. So much fun!! I'm so blessed that I get to be a part of her fun every year. :)

While I love capturing life's little moments {of your newborns and watching through my lens as your family grows over the years} my true passion is animals. I love to photograph them. Mine. Yours. And those that have yet to find forever homes. I love to snap the perfect shot of their joyful eyes as they retrieve their favorite toy, the shake of drool after a refreshing drink, the slobbery kiss to the cheek, even the relaxing nap on their comfy bed after a long day of play.

 
This is what brings joy to my heart. From playful pups, to large majestic horses, to the tiniest little hamster...every pet is an important part of your family, why not capture those memories too?

That is why I am going to focus my time and talents on my first love--- pet photography.  While I will continue to provide sessions for people too, they will be limited and most of my available sessions will be designated for pet/pets and their people.  I am really very excited about this "return to my roots" change and I hope you are as well!!

We had a fun little photo shoot with Bella today.  She is getting soooo beautiful!!  Her personality is really starting to shine in her photos and I love capturing her spirit.  I was going to only pick a couple of my favorites for this post, but I couldn't choose...they were all so good!! So, due to some scheduling conflicts, sickness and the holidays this Christmas session is a couple weeks late, but we still got it and they turned out soooo stinkin cute!!  I love these little kiddos!  Here's to a great 2015 and I'm looking forward to a lot more sessions to come!
